Dear Mallie

To my Baby Girl.......Oh boy where do I start - 4 years ago I was in labor in Grand Rapids with you at this very moment. Both Daddy and I were hoping you would be born today so your birthday would have been 9-9-09. Well you had your own plans and decided that 9-10-09 was better. Since you were born you have been doing things when you want and how you want. Last year at this time you were still scooting all over the place to get from point A to point B. Look at you now!!! You took your first steps alone Memorial Day Weekend and have been getting stronger every day since. I remember saying I hope that at your 4th Birthday you will be ready and walking. You have done it!! You are such an amazing little angel and I am so proud of you. Now that your walking you can stop getting older - I just can't believe how time flies. I Know the road that has led us here has been a tough one. It has had its moments for All of us. But for every moment that it seems hard, you have a way of making everything OK. I think about the person I was before you came into the world and the person I am now. You have made me so much stronger than you will ever know. I am a better person for having you as my daughter. I never knew I could love and feel the way I do about someone. I love you so much!! Happy 4th Birthday Tootie - Love always, Mommy
